There will be a percussion workshop with Brandi Mizilca from 1pm to 4pm and then a sound meditation concert performed by Adam Maalouf from 5pm-6:30pm.

Come for either or both parts. There is separate ticket registration for each. Tickets are 20% off until March 5th, so purchase early to save!

The March 19th event is in-person only. Further details about each of the day's offerings:

Step, Drum, Sing Workshop (1pm - 4pm) -
Join us for an entrancing percussion workshop exploring rhythm with our bodies, voices, and drums. Brandi Mizilca will guide participants through metric stepping exercises, the playing of frame drums, singing and dancing, including her signature
chakra-spiral moving meditation.

Adaptations can be made
to accommodate those who might need to do these activities
while seated. During the dance segment, you may opt to drum or dance. No prior experience of drumming or dancing is needed. The methodology allows for everyone to practice and participate at their own level.

Rima Luna will create an
interactive altar that you may also place your own sacred objects upon. You will take your objects home with you afterward.

Feel free to don your magical dancing attire or to dress simply for comfort. Please bring a frame drum if you have one. Contact us if you need us to provide one for you.

There is limited space for only 30 guests total at a time, so pre-registration is required for each part of the event, which can be done online at:

If you need to pay in cash, please RSVP by contacting
Rima at Asheville Rhythm rimaluna2014@gmail.com to make arrangements.

Workshop Registration:
$40 through March 5, $50 full price after that.

Sound Meditation Concert with Adam Maalouf (5pm - 6:30pm) -
Virtuosic multi-instrumentalist, Adam Maalouf , will take us on a musical exploration of rhythm, space, and sound, performing a concert in the resonant dome of The Light Center.

Adam's cross-genre style of music forms a common
thread between the cultures of the East and West. His playing style on the pantam represents the cross-pollination
of diverse influences, including western classical, Jazz,
Arabic, and Indian classical music and electronica.

Formerly NYC based, he now makes his home and continues to develop his music in Greenville, SC. Please visit his website for a complete bio and more information.

Further Details: We invite you to bring an object to place on
the altar that represents you: a stone, crystal, figurine,
flower, for example. (You will take it home.)

If you are
coming for both the workshop and the concert, be sure to bring water and snacks for yourself.

During the hour break
between events, you may hike the sylvan trails, walk the
labyrinth, meditate in the light chamber, or socialize outside
the dome while we set up for the concert. Bring proper
footwear for walking the trails and warm layers for the
changing temperatures as the cool evening descends upon
us in the mountains.
